Come Fly With Me

It's time for Volume 2 of Sarah Throws A Baby Shower. On Sunday, I co-hosted a shower for my dear friend Amy, who is currently pregnant with Baby Miles.

I'm a tad bit worn out on baby boy themes and bored with the usual options. In perusing my favorite party blogs, I stumbled across a paper airplane theme for a birthday party and thought it would translate perfectly. I redesigned these awesome invitations from Martha Stewart and I was on my way!

I made paper airplane garland, which was a huge hit. Inspired by this gorgeous shower, I used Martha’s envelope insert to create theme signs throughout the party. We had themed food like bagged peanuts. I even made a themed playlist (“Leaving on Jetplane” was of course on it)!

We all had a great time, especially Amy, which is about all you can ask for!

For any of you interested in this theme, here are the links to the Now Boarding, Check In, Baggage Claim, and In Flight Refreshment signs that you can print for free!
